First and foremost, I am a child of God…devoted to and always wanting to grow closer. I am in constant amazement of HIS grace and love for me. I am also a wife of 13 years and a mother of 2 daughters (ages 7 & 10). I honestly have no complaints about my life…God has truly blessed me. I credit my Heavenly Father for everything I have…especially my marriage. God brought me through the darkest 2 years of my life and restored my marriage when I was ready to walk away. My precious Savior has also wooed me back into a loving, intimate relationship with Him and I will be FOREVER greatful. Forgiveness, Grace and complete, unconditional Love from my Father God is really all I need.
I am also a breast cancer survivor at the ripe old age of 35. I was diagnosed at the age of 33. If you want to read the rest of the story, begin in Sept. 2007 in the archives.
Why the name “Sing Me Home”? Well…when I was trying to decide on a name for the little blog this is what came to mind. First of all, I love to sing and even more than that I love to sing praises to God. The actual name is from a song by The Martins. I think after you read the lyrics, you will understand why I picked it…enjoy!!!
Sing Me Home, written by Joyce Martin McCollough
Sing to me of golden streets, A sea as clear as glass.
Of a paradise designed by God’s own hand.
Take my mind off troubles here with melodies so sweet,
Calling softly to a promise land.
Chorus…Sing me, Sing me home. With an everlasting song. Remind me where my heart belongs. Sing me, sing me home.
Sing to me of perfect days, spent gathered at the throne.
Giving honor to the Great I Am.
Sing to me a melody, to lift my spirit there.
Where the lions gently lay beside the lamb.
Chorus…Sing me, sing me home. With an everlasting song. Remind me where my heart belongs. Sing me, sing me home.

God bless you and keep you….

Hi Kim,
I was home over the Holidays and Christy and I had lunch and she gave me your blog page. God bless you and your family for being so strong through everything. You have been in my prayers. Matthew and I just had our first child, Haley, she’s almost 4 months now and the greatest joy I have ever known. I echo Christy’s comments in the end.
