It’s Friday again…

The weeks just fly by, don’t they?  You blink your eyes and another day has come and gone.  Life seems to go in warp speed and you just have to hang on and find joy in the ride.  I look back over the past few months and can’t believe how quickly everything went.  Of course, when I was first told I had cancer, it seemed like all I did was hurry up and wait.  Wait for results, wait for tests, wait for dr calls, wait for appointments, wait for surgery, wait for more results…I think you get the picture.  Now that I can take a deep breath and look back, I realize how fast it all happened.  It all happened over like a month and a half.  Now I am 6 weeks post surgery and it just all seems like a whirl-wind but my life has NEVER been filled with so much joy, peace and love as I have experienced over the past few months.  IT IS BREATHTAKING!!!!

Ok, I am changing subjects for a minute.  I can’t even believe I am talking about this…it just doesn’t seem possible but here goes.  Madison…my 10 year old…is going out to “dinner” with her boyfriend and his parents tonight.  They are going to Sho Guns which is one of her favorite places to eat.  She just asked me to go pick her out something to wear and she wants me to curl her hair.  Why would I let my 10 year old go out on a “date” (even though it’s not really a date in my book) you might ask.  Well, she definitely wouldn’t be going if we didn’t know the parents really well and feel comfortable that they have everything under control.  Also…this little boy is PRECIOUS!!!  He is soooo mannerly…I’m thinking he might be able to teach her a thing or two in that area.  Ok…I’m going to have to stop thinking about it.  Anyway…she just came in here and is freaking out because it is 3:30 and she has to be ready by 4:30.  She said, “Mom, hurry up…I’ve got to get ready and I’ll be waiting for you in my room.  You’ve got 5 minutes.”

  1. Let her go, she might end up with someone as good as Kim Pendley.

JM…you seem to forget that this boy is very mannerly so I guess following in your footsteps isn’t an option!!!! HA-HA!!!!

  2. Ohhh, how sweet! Your girls are precious. They bring a smile to my face every time I see them! Ok, now I’m thinking about Sydney and dating – I have to stop before I end up in a puddle of tears! Love ya!

  3. OMG! She wants you to CURL HER HAIR? What are things coming to? 🙂 She’s not the girly girl and she wants you to curl her hair… it must be love. 🙂

All joking aside, that is so sweet and how wonderful that you know the boy and his family. I hope I am so lucky when my girls get older!

    Love ya!
